The Wump World and its Impact on Your Environmental Outlook

"The Wump World," by Bill Pete, an influential children's book published in 1970, is often credited with having an impact on the environmental movement. Unfortunately, we don't carry the book at EcoBrain, but we do feel that it had quite an influence on those who read it as a child. So, we want to know: 1. Did you read The Wump World as a child? 2. Did you go on to read it to your own children or students? 3. Do you think it influenced your response to the environmental movement today? 4. Do you think it still covers themes that will be relevant to todays children? Tell us what you think!

Sadly, I didn't read the Wump World. But it is now on my library list. Now I will read it to my children. After I get it, I'll write more. What does everyone else think?
